Ink cartridge re-design

Ink cartridge re-design

For a small range of our commercial printer inks, the "ink low" communication in the printer status monitor has changed. This is due to the discontinuation in production of a component currently used within those ink cartridges.

Due to the change in components, ink consumption is now calculated based on the printing of different sized dots, and ink usage must now be estimated rather than accurately tracked. As a result, varying levels of ink could remain in each cartridge. The price of the cartridges has been reduced by 20% to reflect this change.

Customers will still benefit from the same high quality and high reliability of Epson genuine ink, which is not impacted by the change

Important
Before you install the new ink cartridge in your printer, it’s important that you update the firmware to the latest version. If this update is not performed, your printer will display an error message and it will not function. This can be solved by following the instructions on the cartridge packaging and on the leaflet enclosed with your new cartridge.
